Did you know I also sew?!

Did you know I also sew?! Though I love crocheting and love making shawls and ponchos, I also sew! After retiring and moving to South Carolina almost 2 years ago, when I went to unpack my 25 year old sewing machine, it decided to retire as well, so I've been without one until recently.

And today I thought I would share with you a project I've been working on...

Infinity Scarves with a Hidden Pocket! First project off the new sewing machine is this Infinity Scarf. What's very cool about this is the little hidden pocket that zips up to make sure everything stays inside. It's great for times when you don't want to carry your purse. You can fit all sorts of things in the pocket, such as your drivers license, passport, small wallet, snacks, credit cards, cash, etc. The pocket is about 8 inches by 7 inches. The scarf itself is about 70 inches by 10 inches, and long enough to wrap twice around. This one is a beautiful premium cotton fabric with gold thread highlighting the flowers. The pocket and zipper are black. And I prewash the fabric before I start working with it, so it should not shrink when you put it in the wash! I'll be making some of these to sell along with my shawls and ponchos. (I've also got some fun novelty fabric too!) If you are interested in this one, email me @ suzyyester@gmail.com!
